Odd were favourites to win this tie against Greek side PAS Giannina who are making their debuts in European competition. However they were left red-faced last week as Giannina cruised to a convincing 3-0 win in their first ever European match. Goals from Michail, Fonsi and Noé Acosta secured a famous win for the Ioannina based club who finished 6th in the Greek Super League last season.

They head to Norway with a sizeable cushion but will know there is still more work to be done. Taking into account their matches at the end of last season they are in great form though. They are unbeaten in 9 matches having picked up 18 points from their final 8 league games last term to qualify for Europe.

Odd would have had high hopes of at least making it through another round or two having made it all the way to the play-off round last year where they were at one stage 3-0 up against Borussia Dotmund only to capitulate dramatically and concede 11 goals across the two legs. They’ve tightened up a bit since then and are faced with a very different challenge here, where they will need to really take the game to the Greeks if they are to be in with a chance of getting back in it.

They were beaten 2-1 in the league at the weekend by Bodø / Glimt though and confidence is clearly pretty low coming into this game. PAS Giannina showed their quality in the first leg and their technical quality could punish the Norwegians again here. Certainly there looks to be value found in backing Double Chance – Draw or Giannina at 5/4 given the ease with which they won last week.

The Greeks won the 1st Leg 3-0 last week in the first meeting between the clubs.

Odd have lost 4 of their last 7 Europa League matches, winning just 2. PAS Giannina are unbeaten in 9 matches and they are looking for a 4th straight win here.

Changes are likely for Odd following 2 defeats in the space of 4 days. Oliver Berg has been pulled off at Half-Time in the last two games and the midfielder is likely to be dropped here. 23 year old forward Henrik Kjelsrud Johansen could make just his second start for the club as Odd go for goals.

The Greeks are likely to go with the same team that impressed last week.
